Operational Definitions:

Participants: Presenters and additional panel members that will be interacting during the webinar. The number of participants in a given webinar should not exceed 8. Participants will join via a hangout link.

Viewers: The public that will be viewing the webinar. They do not directly interact with the webinar itself (aside from tools being used outside of the webinar). Viewers will join the webinar and view it using the youtube link.


How to get the links:

  1. Visit the YouTube Webinars link (Creator Studio) and navigate to Video Manager > Events to view all your planned webinars:



  2. Locate your webinar and click "Start Hangout on Air" (Don't worry, you won't actually start the broadcast until the scheduled time)


  3. The Hangout Window will open, but the broadcast has NOT begun. (Don't press the green START BROADCAST button)

  4. At the top of the hangout screen, click the Invite People button:


  5. PARTICIPANTS LINK: Copy the link that is shown - IT IS FOR PARTICIPANTS ONLY: 

  6. Next, at the bottom right hand side of the screen, you'll see a link button:


  7. VIEWER LINK: Click and copy the 1st Link labelled "YouTube Page" (This link is for the VIEWERS only!)
